This swallowtail flag is made of cotton and dates from approximately 1967. During the Vietnam War, Governor James A. Rhodes sent this flag to the Chapel of Flags in Da Nang, South Vietnam, where it hung with flags of the other 49 states until 1972. The dimensions of the flag are 58.5 by 96 cm. The flag was donated to the Ohio Historical Society, now Ohio History Connection, in 1985 by Richard Jeffries. View on Ohio Memory.
