Description: This photograph shows a boxcar being readied for baling by the car dumper at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company's Campbell Works, ca. 1920. According to former Campbell Works employee Chester Kaschak, the engine would pull the boxcar to the car dumper. A brakeman would then uncouple the car from the engine. Once the raw material was dumped out of the car (baled), the next engine, pulling a full boxcar, would push the empty one out of the way. That left another full car ready for baling.
