Hopewell Mound Group
Description: Very large, black obsidian blade is typical of the Ross Barbed type. It has deep corner notches, a somewhat triangular base and slightly flaring ears. The tip is slightly rounded. The artifact has been broken into at least six pieces and re-glued. Portions have been restored, including the tip and portions of the base. Item was excavated from the Hopewell Site in Twin Township, Ross County, Ohio. View on Ohio Memory.
