Hopewell Mound Group
Description: Ground and polished stone ring, possibly an earspool, resembling a modern pulley. It is a hollow cylinder with rims that flare outward from a flat center. The sides curve inward from the rims. Four small, evenly-spaced holes have been drilled through the ring. It is made of grayish black steatite. Item was excavated from the Hopewell Site in Twin Township, Ross County, Ohio. View on Ohio Memory.
