Ohio History Connection
Description: Small ceramic rimsherd is decorated with characteristic cross-hatched incised lines on the upper part of the rim and a row of triangular punctates (indentations) immediately below the cross-hatching. Neck portion is plain. There is a horizontal incised line near the lower edge of the fragment. Below that line are cordmarked impressions made with a cord-wrapped wooden paddle. It is dark gray in color. View on Ohio Memory.
