Description: Complete Newtown Cordmarked ceramic vessel, with repairs, featuring a flat lip. The rim flares outward slightly from the neck. Shoulders and base are rounded. Cordmarking on the neck goes all the way to the rim and is vertical; cordmarking on the body of the pot is more random in appearance. The vessel is gray, light reddish brown and very dark gray in color. Item was found at the Merion Site in Franklin County, Ohio. View on Ohio Memory.
