Description: View on the Little Miami Railroad and River, near Fort Ancient, 42 miles from Cincinnati, from Smith's "The Great Railway Celebration of 1857." The Little Miami Railroad was the second railroad to be built in Ohio, with the purpose of connecting the city of Cincinnati to Springfield. The line was completed between 1837 and 1848 and runs in part along the river for which it's named. View on Ohio Memory.
