Description: An image of the exterior of the Wolcott House in Toledo. Two women are on the front step, dressed in period clothing. This house dates back to the first half of the 19th century and still exists today. The Wolcott house was built by James Wolcott and his wife, Mary Wells. She was the granddaughter of Little Turtle, a Miami Chief. The home began as a log cabin and evolved into a 14 room, two story, federal style mansion. It was built between the years 1827 and 1836.
