Description: This is an undated plat map of the Adena farm from a survey conducted by William Darke. Darke, an American soldier, adopted the orphan Thomas Worthington, who would go on to become a U.S. Senator and Ohio Governor. Adena was the home of Thomas Worthington near Chillicothe, built in the early 1800s. Important visitors often visited Adena, including Tecumseh, William Henry Harrison, James Monroe and Henry Clay.
