Description: These five photographs show the Kon-Tiki restaurant which opened August 23rd, 1965, in downtown Cincinnati. Housed in in the Sheraton-Gibson Hotel, it was the 7th such restaurant opened in a Sheraton Hotel at the time. According to the Hotel's General manager, the Kon-Tiki was meant to offer a complement the Hotel's other restaurant, Yeatman's Cove. The Sheraton-Gibson Hotel was demolished in 1977.
