'Most Favorable Candidate' editorial   Save
Ohio History Connection Archives/Library
Description: This broadside reprints an editorial written for the Cincinnati Journal in 1923. The editorial is aimed at African American voters, and urges them to support a Republican candidate for Ohio's next governor. It argues that both the candidate and the party have been more favorable towards the rights and aspirations of African Americans than have their Democratic opponents. The editorial appeals also to state and party pride, urging voters to keep their party and state strong by voting for Joseph B. Sieber of Akron. View on Ohio Memory.
