Description: This document accounts the Ohio Abolitionists at the Zanesville Convention held in April 1835, which formed the Ohio Anti-Slavery Society. An auxiliary branch of the American Anti-Slavery Society, the Ohio Anti-Slavery Society consisted of delegates from 25 counties throughout the state, in addition to 4 delegates from other states, and published a newspapers called The Philanthropist.
