Description: Dated 1850-1870, this wool quilt is in the Log Cabin pattern. The pierced quilt has blocks with the traditional red center squares. The blocks are sewn in a courthouse steps arrangement with strips laid over calico blocks. The back is brown calico. The edges of the top and back are folded under and hemstitched together.
