Description: Sectional loader made by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company of Columbus, Ohio. Sectional loaders were belt conveyors that could be lengthened one section at a time to move coal to a pit coal car for removal from the mine. In this photograph, a 300 foot sectional loader was being used at the Norton Coal Company, Nortonville, Kentucky, 1925. View on Ohio Memory.
