Description: A-6 post drill made by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company of Columbus, Ohio in use at the National Gypsum Company, Sun City, Kansas, 1940. Miners used this tool to drill a series of holes into the mineral being mined. Explosive charges were placed in those holes and the material was "shot down" and then removed from the mine.
