Busses, Funeral Coaches, Ambulances. Upper half of picture shows the older part of the plant. Lower half shows the addition completed in 1940." Founded in 1912 by Hugo H. Young and Carl F. Dudte, the Flxible Company first designed a motorcycle sidecard with a flexible connection to the motorcycle and designed its first bus in 1924. The company was originally called the Flexible Side Car Company, but intentionally misspelled the name in 1919 so that it could be copyrighted. The company declared bankruptcy in 1996 and this building is now used as a maintenance facility for Motor Coach Industries. View on Ohio Memory.
