William Hull (1753-1825) was Governor of the Michigan Territory as well as brigadier general of the Army of the Northwest during the War of 1812. Soldiers under his command from Ohio and Kentucky were gathered in Dayton and marched to Detroit to defend against British troops, as well as their Native American allies. View on Ohio Memory.
