Horse in harness in Urbana, Ohio   Save
Ohio Guide Photgraphs
Description: Photograph of a white horse attached to a harness with a man sitting in the seat in front of a horse stable. Another man is leaning against the horse stable entrance in the background. Leaning against the barn appears to be some sort of racing harness, but with smaller wheels--perhaps a training harness. Harness racing is a form of horse racing in which the horses race at a specific gait (a trot or a pace). They usually pull two-wheeled carts called sulkies, although racing under saddle (trot monté in French) is also conducted in Europe. View on Ohio Memory.
