Description: This small, leaf-shaped projectile point is of the Trimble Side-Notched type. It has shallow notches in the sides near the base; the base is straight with rounded corners. This piece is from the Late Archaic Period and made of pale brown flint. People of the Late Archaic were hunter-gatherers, and were among the first in the region to make metal artifacts from copper found near Lake Superior. View on Ohio Memory.
